Hair and beauty startup, CutsnScissors has developed an online marketplace for hair salon owners to enable them meet the hair and beauty needs of their customers with ease.
In the 21st century, any business that intends to remain competitive and grow must adopt and implement innovative solutions. With COVID-19 disrupting businesses and the need for social distancing, it has become more evident that business owners need to support their services with solutions that provide, among many things, flexibility for their customers.
How the app works
The webapp comes with many features; on the customer end, customers can view a list of vendors and the services that they provide. They can then book for an in-shop or in-house service from their preferred vendor, reschedule or cancel their appointment. Payment is also done through the app either by card or through a wallet, and there is an option to pay cash to the vendor.
On the vendor end, vendors can view their upcoming appointments, earning history, ratings and reviews. Just like the customers, they can reschedule and cancel appointments if unavailable. Customers are also able to purchase their hair and beauty products from the webshop and have it delivered to them.
CutsnScissors started as an idea that the founder, Omubor Ibitokuinyo had at the start of 2020. He conducted a feasibility study to ascertain the viability of the idea and then set to work when he was satisfied with his findings. The launch of the startup was delayed as COVID struck, however, with their app development completed they are ready to commence operations.
Ibitokuinyo informs me that he has reached out to salon owners in different parts of Port Harcourt and the response has been amazing. The launch date for CutsnScissors is tomorrow August 10, 2020. You can follow their social media accounts to receive updates about the launch.
