Building a robust and sustainable ecosystem where innovation thrives is the aim of Startup Port Harcourt Week – an annual gathering of startup founders, technologists, business people, academics, investors, policy makers and players in Nigeria’s creative and digital sectors. In its third year, the annual conference has explored key issues and themes that are pertinent to the Port Harcourt ecosystem since its inception.
For this year’s edition, the conversation will be centered on exploring novel investment opportunities to support the digital and creative sectors in the city under the theme: From Oil to Tech – Preparing for the Future. Startup Port Harcourt Week provides a platform for entities in Nigeria’s technology industry to integrate, reintegrate, and harness opportunities that might not be apparent to them.
This year, Startup Port Harcourt Week will be held from October 20th – 26th with a variety of activities that are aimed to inspire, celebrate, and promote conversations that will in turn lead to the growth of Port Harcourt’s creative and digital economy. The program of events has been designed with different sectors of the creative and digital economy in mind with activities to connect and engage stakeholders.
Majority of the events are free and only require a registration to be made prior to the event to book a ticket. However, some of them require an invitation. The timeline of events to mark this year’s celebration are as follows:
