Stay22, a start-up company working out of Montreal, Canada’s growing tech and innovation scene, has become a leader in the travel technology industry. The company has amassed $250,000 in commission for its growing list of partners, with recent additions like Secutix, TicketSource, Pollstar, Ents24, and London Theatre Direct. As Stay22 continues to rack up partnerships, its inventory has also grown. Today, Stay22 offers users access to the largest inventory in the world, with over 35 million bookable listings worldwide.

Stay22’s CEO & Co-founder, Andrew Lockhead commented that “We’re super excited about the rate of adoption of the event & entertainment industry. It’s inspiring that we can have such a positive impact for our partners in helping improve their user experience, and generate that sum of revenue for them.”

Recently, Stay22 won the 2019 Disruptor Award at the Ticketing Business Forum, alongside partners London Theatre Direct (Product Innovation Award) and Ticketek (Ticketing Business of the Year).

To date, Stay22 is used by over 1,000 events in 30 countries to provide travelers and event-goers access to lodging, from hotels to Airbnb and other alternative accommodation. Stay22’s partners receive a commission from each booking made through their website or platform on the Stay22 map.

Stay22’s focus on customer experience and integration ease has been instrumental in reaching a 7.1% conversion rate, which amounts to nearly 3 times as high as the online travel agency average. Since 2018, Stay22 has created $10M in booking volume, half of which came from January 2019 only.

The company is laser-focused on customer experience and plans to add to its already stellar offering. In the coming months, Stay22 has noted that they will add features such as opportunities for users to book advance parking and reserve at restaurants. Users traveling by car or renting one will have the opportunity to reserve parking ahead of their stay in order to reduce time and stress searching for a spot. The restaurant feature will also enable users to plan out their stay in more detail. Stay22 will also add airports to their maps so that users flying in can plan their travel to and from the airport before arrival.
