Canadian startup Stay22, the embeddable accommodation map solution that simplifies travel booking for events, has announced a new partnership with TEG, Asia Pacific’s leading live entertainment, ticketing and technology business.
Headquartered in Sydney Australia, TEG is a promoter of live entertainment and has done so for International stars including Eminem and Katy Perry. It is intended that this partnership would solidify Stay22’s position as the leading travel solution for the live entertainment industry. As for TEG, they are looking to delight their customers with the best-in-class accommodation and travel services booking platform for events.
“With over 20 million tickets annually for both local and international events, it was clear that we saw an opportunity in partnering up with TEG. Stay22 is a natural extension to their service offer: it will allow them to enhance users’ experience by properly addressing a need of event-goers: travel” said Frederic Aouad, Sales Director of Stay22.
“TEG is thrilled to be partnering with Stay22. Being Asia Pacific’s leading live entertainment, ticketing platform and technology, we are very happy to include the Stay22 maps into our ticketing technology. We hope this new endeavor will please our current customers, especially the ones in need of accommodations and travel services near events” says Chris Johnston General Manager at TEG.
Through TEG’s ticketing platform, Ticketek, it has provided ticketing services to major sporting events in Australia and New Zealand. The business is also a major player in data science and analytics, digital marketing and customer research. Other TEG portfolio companies include TEG Live, TEG Analytics, TEG Insights, Qudos Bank Arena, Softix and Eventopia.
Since its creation in 2016, Stay22 has partnered up with over 1,000 event organizers and ticketing platforms to offer travelers and event-goers a seamless booking experience. The startup offers more than 35 million bookable listings in over 220 countries and territories. Last year, Stay22 raised $750K in seed round funding to transform the way event travelers book accommodation.
Partnering with the leading ticketing platforms in APAC is a solid statement for the early stage startup as it continues to position itself as the premier event travel solution for the live entertainment industry.
