Bloomtech Digital Hub, a strategic skills development ICT hub has launched in Port Harcourt. The hub emerged as a result of the passion for creating, impacting and reaching out to Africans and particularly Nigerians with credible, innovative, and educative smart digital solutions to meet the present needs and future demands of ICT in the country.
The idea for the hub started three years ago when at the time two students of the Rivers State University (formerly Rivers State University of Science and Technology) with a passion for digital literacy thought about a way of educating and equipping other young Nigerians with the relevant skills to make them contributors to the digital economy.
Bloomtech Digital Hub was officially launched on August 2018. Its founders are ChukwuFunanya King Okonkwo and Orama Dominion Horsfall. The primary business of the hub is blockchain services and digital financial trading. They also offer ICT consulting, and skills and career development. Bloomtech Digital Hub recently launched a product called Art hub, an online art gallery that connects art lovers, curators, and marketers with domestic manufacturers of artworks.
The goal of Bloomtech Digital Hub is to engage, promote, and strengthen high-level performance, consulting, training, and professional delivery of smart digital solutions in the ICT ecosystem.
