Key Takeaways from the NIINe Event held in Port Harcourt, Nigeria

Bankole Oloruntoba, Executive Director/Founder NIINE

Launching a startup in a city, state or region unknown for their entrepreneurial activity can be very challenging. It always helps to have people of like minds as us working together to achieve a common goal – in this case developing a thriving tech scene where we call home.

And in an effort to address this challenge, NIINE (Network of Incubators and Innovators in Nigeria) – which describes itself on its webpage as ‘a network of Business/Technology Incubators, Accelerators, Innovation Centers, other organisations and individuals that support the development and growth of innovation, startups and SMES in Nigeria’ – organised an informal meetup at Grand Venice Hotel, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to connect with tech enthusiasts in discussing ‘how to boost the vibrancy of the PH startup ecosystem’.

The meetup was hosted by Focushub, a startup hub in Rivers State and had in attendance Startup Founders and tech enthusiasts.

You can stream or download the meetup podcast on soundcloud.
